Day 3 is when the split streak finally broke and we saw some real Mythic action, both from top guilds and many others heading into the maximum difficulty as well.

Liquid were the stars of the day as they finally pulled themselves away from their splits and Mythic+ runs, whereas Echo and BDGG did not. Consequently we did see some new World Firsts and some solid pushes on the fifth boss of the Vault.

First off a quick look at what we’ve already covered, Liquid’s two World Firsts (and you can find more info on the two kills below here), as they plowed through Mythic, taking 1 pull for the first two bosses, and then 5 for Terros:

Sennarth proved to be an actual Mythic boss, as it took them 12 tries to take him down:

This was followed by a LONG period of Mythic+, but before they were done for the day, Liquid did venture into Mythic once more and took some shots at Dathea, definitely the hardest boss of the Vault so far and certainly a proper challenge, even for the top guilds. After 19 pulls they managed to get the boss down to 57%, and here’s their best, although they’re actually still going at it right now!

Liquid also very shortly poked their head in at Kurog, but left it at 1 pull, seemingly preferring Dathea quite a bit.

Meanwhile we had many, MANY more Mythic kills by other guilds as 27 actually got Eranog down, and another 27 got him and Council! We also saw two more Heroic Raszageth kills, as Instant Dollars and BDGG took the final boss down, one difficulty lower than the win condition.

We’ll be seeing a lot of guilds head into Mythic today, including Echo, Method, BDGG and more, as their gearing up may have reached an end (for now at least). It’s going to be an exciting one!
