Find out how Dragonflght’s potential schedule compares to other expansions.

An unconfirmed leaked internal document from mid-August claims Dragonflight pre-patch will launch on October 25, 2022, with the expansion going live a month later on November 28, 2022.

However, Blizzard hasn’t confirmed the release date with pre-orders claiming the game will release before the end of the year on or before December 31, 2022.

With the start of Dragonflight Beta on September 1, 2022, and the unconfirmed release date, Reddit user Disargeria has updated their expansion timeline with some new data about Dragonflight.

According to the timeline, Dragonflight was announced 72 days before Alpha testing began. The Dragonflight Alpha phase ran for 63 days. Beta started on September 1, so if the pre-patch indeed launches on October 25, Beta testing will last for 60 days with the pre-patch lasting for 28 days if the game releases on November 28.
