It’s a huge week in the Vault of the Incarnates as we have a (very) new No.1, and it’s one that will put a smile on a lot of player’s faces! We’re also taking a look at the boss damage numbers for a more complete picture, and plenty has changed after the tuning all over the place, so let’s get started.

Mythic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

That’s right, it’s pink at the top as the Retribution revamp really took off in week two of the patch, so congratulations to the DPS Paladins out there finally getting their due (not to mention that they got there via a 14 spot jump since last week)! Frost DK remains very strong and only loses out to the new hotness, despite their 3% nerf, as the charts below that see Affliction plummeting after the two bugs that were helping it out cleared out of the system, in addition to the recent class tuning finding the dot-iest Warlock spec 10 spots down in 12th. The rest of the purple class is doing very well, however, and Demonology is taking the lead, closely followed by Destruction as they stick together in spots 3 and 4. Shadow is recovering a little after its major fall with the first week of the patch, regaining 2 spots, as Subtletly remains one of the most stable specs in recent memory, sticking to its 6th spot. Last week’s nerfs saw Marksmanship drop 3 spots into 7th, taking that spot away from Devastation. Arms and Havoc stick together again and close out the top 10, with Outlaw standing just outside. The bottom 3 looks exactly the same, but it actually isn’t, as a different Mage spec has come in, with Frost replacing Arcane in the very much not coveted second-to-last spot.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

The Paladin surge isn’t just a top percentiles thing, as the Rets are actually doing even better in the generalist bracket, with a much more significant lead over 2nd place, which was taken over by Subtletly here, rising 2 spots and getting past Demonology, with Affliction having dropped down to the middle of the pack. Marksmanship only lost 2 spots here, followed by Outlaw in 5th, and Shadow remaining in 6th. Frost DK finds itself 4 spots down after its 3% nerf, as the ever-linked team of Arms and Havoc moves past it, with the other two Warlocks just behind.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

We’re on to boss damage now and we don’t have a direct point of comparison with the previous week here, so let’s just a look at the more general situation. Affliction is still riding high somewhere it seems, as it was always solid at boss damage and is now at the top. Survival and Beast Mastery are right behind it, as both were very high before the patch as well. The DKs are very close together here, with Unholy coming out on top, just ahead of Destruction. Paladins are much improved in this chart as well, as they were at the bottom before the patch and now find themselves in 9th, with all three Mages are also doing much better, in the upper middle of the pack instead of way down near the bottom. The actual bottom is held by Windwalker here, joined by Fury and Devastation.

Heroic Overall DPS

Heroic is the last bastion against total Retribution domination, as Affliction managed to retain the top spot here, followed by Assassination which moved 2 spots up. The Paladins aren’t too far away, however, and we might be seeing them at the actual top next week, as they sit in 3rd, just ahead of the Hunter pack for now.

Normal Overall DPS

It’s a pink top here in Normal as well, as Affliction gets booted down to 6th and Ret takes over, with the three Hunters staying right where they were, with Survival getting the better of BM.
