Former Lead Systems Designer for World of Warcraft Greg “Ghostcrawler” Street, who left Blizzard in 2013 for Riot to work on their unannounced MMORPG, has stepped down from his role at Riot Games.

In a series of tweets, Riot MMO Lead Greg clarified a combination of personal and professional considerations led him to step down from his role at Riot Games.

Greg said he wants to focus more on his family and Riot MMO “is in good hands”.

During Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm, Greg worked at Blizzard as a Lead Systems Designer for WoW and was very active on the official forums, responding to player feedback on multiple platforms, including Reddit and Twitter. In 2013, he left the company to become the Head of Creative Development at Riot Games.
