The final boss of the Patch 10.1.5 megadungeon drops a unique mount that teaches you a random mount from the past.
Now this mount is unlike anything we’ve seen in the game. It is consumed when used and teaches you a mount from the past.
The associated spell tooltip (Quantum Reins) reads: “Observe the Quantum Courser, causing it to take the form of a random mount (from the Past).”
While we do not know what exactly that means, MrGM ran Dawn of the Infinite, the new megadungeon on the 10.1.5 PTR, and the group looted Reins of the Quantum Courser from the final boss and it gave one of the group members Midnight’s Eternal Reins from Karazhan.
We do not know the current pool of mounts you can learn with Reins of the Quantum Courser, but based on MrGM’s drop, we can speculate it’s probably going to be dungeon mounts. Karazhan was added as a megadungeon back in Legion, so maybe even megadungeon mounts?
We’ll need to wait for Blizzard to confirm which mounts can be learned via Reins of the Quantum Courser.
