Announcing the Crystalline Conflict Community Cup (Source)

Crystalline Conflict, the new 5v5 PvP mode introduced in Patch 6.1, has intrigued many fighters across the realm. Today, we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a friendly Crystalline Conflict exhibition on September 1 and September 2—the Community Cup (North America)! Whether you hail from the Aether, Crystal, or Primal data center, you’re invited to gather your most valiant and trusted companions for a chance to showcase your skills and to win some fun prizes!

The Crystalline Conflict Community Cup (North America)

Excited onlookers who wish to enjoy the games and cheer on the participating teams, look no further than the official FFXIV Twitch channel.
* All matches will be broadcast live.
* Co-streaming is allowed.

Brian Ricardo and Frosty, host of MogTalk, will be our guest commentators for this tournament!

Friday, August 12 to Monday, August 22: Registration Period

Monday, August 29: Bracket/Team Announcements

Thursday, September 1 at 3:00 p.m. (PDT): Preliminaries

Friday, September 2 at 3:00 p.m. (PDT): Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Finals

* Times may vary depending on the number of teams.

Eligibility

You must have a North American Square Enix Account.

You must have an active character on the Aether, Crystal, or Primal data centers.

After reading the official rules and agreeing to the conditions, gather and register your Team using the Team registration form available from the official rules linked below.

Members of one registered Team must not be participating in other selected Teams.

Each member of the Team must be able to attend the scheduled times for the Preliminaries, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals event.

Tournament Rules

Crystalline Conflict 5v5 PvP Tournament.

16 teams will be randomly selected from all the eligible team registrations received.

Winners of Preliminaries and Quarterfinals are determined by best-of-one round match.

Winners of Semifinals and Finals are determined by best-of-three rounds match.

Matches will take place on one of the following maps at random: the Palaistra, the Volcanic Heart, or Cloud Nine.

Team members may freely change jobs between rounds if participating in a best-of-three rounds match.

Teams may switch Team members between Semifinals and Finals.

 

Rewards

All participants will receive three (3) sets of 99x Magitek Torches (red, blue, yellow).

 

Four Semifinalist Teams will receive the above, along with one (1) in-game item of their choice from the following items:

Ahriman Choker

Mandragora Choker

Chocobo Noble Barding

Bluebird Earring

Scarf of Wondrous Wit

Gaelicap

Modern Aesthetics – Strife

 

 

 

The winning team will receive the above, along with the Great Serpent of Ronka Parasol.
