Here we are in the very first week of Shadowlands Season 4 and it’s time to see how things have changed since the patch! It’s been a bit of a rough start for certain specs, as the bosses in Castle Nathria had some serious bugs, taking away a lot of DPS abilities. The bug was fixed after a couple of days, so the rest of the stats should be solid, but do keep in mind that there were issues in the beginning.

An important note before we begin: as the Fated raids will be switching out each week, our comparisons to the previous weeks will be a little less relevant, but we’ll still mention it for context – just keep in mind it won’t be a direct comparison from week to week as it was before.

Mythic

95th Percentile

We have a bit of a surprise a the very top of the top percentiles, inasmuch as nothing has changed, even after the Destruction nerf! Well, not exactly nothing, as while the top spec is still Destro, it has lost a very large amount of its lead, with Demonology breathing down its neck. We also know it takes a while for the meta to shift, even after nerfs, so we may yet see a new No.1 next week, in the Sanctum. Speaking of nerfs, Survival’s did hit it fairly hard, as it fell from its 2nd place down to 5th, with Elemental leaping up 5 spots to claim 3rd. But perhaps the biggest change from Season 3 and the Sepulcher to today and Fated Nathria is Outlaw, as it skyrocketed 11 places into 4th! Frost DK and Windwalker also had to make room for the new kids in town, both dropping 3, and the Mages seem to have formed a union and taken over 8-10. Unfortunately for Subtletly though, neither the Season nor the new raid changed its lot in life, as it remains down at the very bottom, this time joined by a very unhappy Havoc, who dropped 7.

All Percentiles

The generalist bracket did get a new No.1 at least, as there’s been a Warlock switcheroo and Demonology has claimed the top spot. Destro didn’t go far, but the even bigger star here is Outlaw, as it outperforms all non-purple specs in the generalist bracket, pushing past Survival. Elemental is doing well here as well, with Windwalkers and Frost DKs dropping 3 spots, same as in the top bracket. Affliction makes an appearance as well, putting all 3 Warlocks in the top 10. Meanwhile Mages aren’t doing quite so well here, as only Fire makes it in among the 10 best. We also have two Rogues down at the bottom, with Subtletly actually dropping down from last week, and again finding itself in the very last spot, joined by Assassination, which dropped even more, from the middle of the pack to the penultimate spot.

Tanks and Healers

Quite expectedly, there aren’t many changes with the tanks and healers, but we’re taking a look anyway since it’s the first week of a new patch/season. The tank DPS meters aren’t quite as relevant as the healers’ HPS ones, but either way the rankings for the front-liners are exactly the same as we last left them, with Guardian on top and Vengeance on the bottom.

Healers at least had some movement, as Resto Shamans moved on up 1 space into 3rd, and Holy Paladins also moved, out of the gutter, pushing Discipline down into the last spot.

Heroic

Heroic had some changes as well, with Arms finally losing the battle with Demo, dropping quite a bit in fact, down into 6th from the top position. Outlaw showed that it’s doing great in all brackets, getting as high as No.2 here, followed by Survival and a very much improved Fire, which leaped 7 spots to land in 4th. Shadow is also on the rise, only 2 spots, however, as Enhancement joined Arms in their downfall, with Unholy taking the DK crown here. We then have a really weird sighting, as Beast Mastery somehow managed to make its way into 9th, followed by Balance, which dropped 4 spots. Subtletly took the bottom spot trifecta, joined by Fury.
