Players spotted a change affecting NPC dialogue in Dragonflight Pre-Patch Phase 2. The voice lines no longer overlap but cut each other off.

Before the Evoker update, multiple audio files/speakers would overlap in a dialogue. Currently, on live servers, when Speaker B starts talking before Speaker A finishes, Speaker A will be instantly muted.

The change can lead to unpleasant situations. For instance, the Mount Class Order Hall mount counts as an NPC and cancels out another NPC’s voice line.

At this time, we do not know if this is a bug or intended.
