Priests received some interesting changes in Dragonflight Beta Build 45480. Smite’s damage was buffed and Shadow Priests received two new talents.

Priest

Flash Heal can now be cast while in Shadowform.

Smite – Smites an enemy for [ 47% 70.5% of Spell Power ] Holy damage and has a 20% chance to reset the cooldown of Holy Fire.

Discipline

Mind Sear – Costs 0 Insanity every 1 sec while channeled.

Mindbender – Summons a Mindbender to attack the target for 12 sec. You regenerate 0.5% of maximum mana each time the Mindbender attacks. Generates 0.5% of maximum mana each time the Mindbender attacks.

Shadow Covenant – Make a shadowy pact, healing the target and 4 other injured allies within 30 yds for [ 165% of Spell Power ]. For 7 sec, your Shadow spells deal 25% increased damage and healing, but your Holy spells deal 50% decreased damage Shadow Mend has no cooldown, and Halo and healing Divine Star are converted to Shadow spells.

Sins of the Many – Your damage is increased by up to 12% 6%, diminishing for each ally affected by your Atonement.

Purge the Wicked – Cleanses the target with fire, causing [ 22.3% of Spell Power ] Radiant damage and an additional [ 124% of Spell Power ] Radiant damage over 20 sec. Spreads to an additional a nearby enemy when you cast Penance on the target.

Holy

Prayer of Healing now costs 4% of Base Mana (down from 5%).

Shadow

Mind Blast is no longer castable while channeling Mind Flay.

Mind Sear – Costs 0 Insanity every 1 sec while channeled.

Death and Madness – If your Shadow Word: Death fails to kill a target at or below 20% health, its cooldown is reset. Cannot occur more than once every 20 sec. If a target dies within 7 sec after being struck by your Shadow Word: Death, you gain 30 Insanity over 4 sec.

PvP Talents

Catharstick renamed to Catharsis.

New Talents

Deathspeaker – Your Shadow Word: Pain damage has a chance to reset the cooldown of Shadow Word: Death and enable 150% additional damage regardless of the target’s health.

Vampiric Insight – Vampiric Touch periodic damage has a chance to reset the remaining cooldown on Mind Blast and cause your next Mind Blast to be instant.
