While Dragonflight is still fresh, we’d like to highlight some of the background stars of every expansion: addon authors! Addons have become a fundamental piece of WoW’s ecosystem for many players, though it’s easy to forget that they are passion projects, with many authors making their living primarily off of donations.
Dragonflight’s pre-patch and launch were rocky periods for addons, with many issues with the in-game addon API happening during pre-patch and some are still ongoing.
