Patch 10.0.5 introduces white and grey transmog. In a previous article about items that have been marked as cosmetic, we speculated that some holiday restrictions on cosmetic items may soon be lifted.
Happily, it seems we were onto something, as the restrictions on certain items have been removed in a recent hotfix!

Removed the holiday requirement for many holiday transmog rewards.
Not all holidays are affected – no Winter’s Veil items seem to have been updated.
