A new version of the Corrupted Ashbringer has appeared on the Dragonflight Patch 10.1.5 PTR, as a quest item! It’s unclear exactly what it will lead to, but the flavor text suggests it’s connected to the machinations of the Infinite Dragonflight.
Before getting your hopes up though, it seems very unlikely that this quest will lead to earning the actual item again.
