Day 2 of the RWF was shaping up to be just as uneventful as the first, up until a few hours ago when one US guilds braved the depths of the Mythic Vault and emerged victorious – twice! We also got our first Heroic Raszageth kill late in the day.

Most of the day was covered in what can only be described as mind-numbing Normal and Heroic splits (and that’s for us viewers, can you imagine what it’s like for the actual raiders?), and then suddenly Vesper came on to the scene around 6AM CET as they were the very first to take down Eranog, the first boss of the Vault, on Mythic difficulty. It didn’t turn out to be quite as difficult as all the avoiding seemed to indicate (at least from the non-top guilds, we know why the top ones haven’t stepped foot in Mythic yet), as they only needed 3 pulls to take the fiery fellow down and grab that World First.

You can check out the full kill and raid composition over here.

Vesper weren’t done with the Vault yet, however, as they pushed on and found surprisingly little resistance on the second boss they attempted, only needing 4 pulls to get the Primal Council down, claim another World First, and move to 2/8!

And here’s the full kill:

And the raid composition:

Vesper also took on Terros for a few pulls, but had to call their raid as they are just your normal guild and players had to go sleep! Here’s their best pull, coming in at 48%:

After other guilds saw Vesper glide through the first two bosses, the (mini) floodgates opened as we very quickly got three more Eranog Mythic kills, by Nascent, DMG and Idiot.

Meanwhile at the very end of their raid day, Liquid went and snagged a World First as well, but in Heroic this time, as they took down the final boss! Unfortunately they did so off-stream as they did not want to share their Raszageth strategies, but they took her down after 12 pulls and a couple of hours (most of which were probably spent testing various things for the eventual Mythic fight).

That’s day 2 done and we’ve now seen some Mythic kills, so let’s see what day 3 brings!
