Sniffenseeking is a new Patch 10.1 feature that revolves around digging for treasures with your mole friend.

First, you will need a map. You will receive the map for your first dig for free. However, additional maps must be obtained from various sources. Once you have a map (Bartered Dig Map), seek out Myrrit in Loamm and give it to him. Myrrit will now have a new [Begin Dig] dialogue option and the number of maps will be indicated above his head.

Sniffenseeking is about solving puzzles with Myrrit, obtaining a key, and claiming rewards.

When I went sniffenseeking, I got ported to a Mogu room filled with various statues.

To solve puzzles, you must pick up Myrrit, who will grant you access to the following abilities:

Burrow – Follow Myrrit underground, becoming hidden from enemies and able to dig up treasures. (Instant, 1-sec cooldown)

Sniff – Have Myrrit sniff for unique smells (Instant, 3-sec cooldown)

Put Down Myrrit – Have Myrrit wait at a location (Instant, 1-sec cooldown)

Mole Friend – Have Myrrit follow you (Instant, 1-sec cooldown)

Escape – Leave the dive. This will reset any progress if you haven’t completed the dive. (Instant)

In my specific case, I examined a tablet on the ground, which was an optional step not required for completion.

Then I noticed standing on the teleporter on the ground lights up the statues, so I picked up Myrrit and had him stand on it, so I could interact with one of them.

An Elite spawned after interacting with the lion.

The Elite dropped a Fierce Key used to open a locked Titan Chest.

The chest contains Buried Niffen Collection, a bag with 17 Zaralek Glowspores, a Loamm Niffen Insignia (grants 250 reputation with the faction), and 1 Ouroboros Tablet.

With the dig complete, you can pick up Myrrit and Exit. What do you think about Sniffenseeking?
